6-Week Beginning Pottery Wheel Class (October)

This is a six-week class (10/12-11/16). It is open to Lowell Makes members  only. *The November 2 class conflicts with the member meeting, so we  will decide as a group how to work around it.

Learn the  basics of throwing cylinders, bowls platters on the potter’s wheel. In  this course you will learn how to center clay on the potter’s wheel and  bring the clay up to form a clay vessel.  The elements of a well  designed utilitarian form will be explored.

The class fee includes your first 10lbs of clay.

Neil Fallon is a self-taught clay artist/potter that started his journey  over 50 years ago.  He has studied at Ohio State University and numerous workshops with well-known potters.  30 years ago he was introduced to  the Bauhaus approach to design, which influences his current work.  Over the years, Neil has shared his knowledge with others in his private  studio.
