The fused glass class is run by local artist Roberta Bizier. Her whimsical one-of-a-kind fused glass art is inspired by nature and includes jewelry, suncatchers and display pieces.

Some items are created using recycled glass and found objects. In addition to creating, Roberta enjoys teaching children and adult glass classes at Periwinkle Glassworks in Groton and selling her art at Serendipity in Hudson.

Kent Dayton is a career commercial photographer, having worked in the editorial, advertising, design, and startup spaces in the Boston area. His work has been featured in Boston Magazine, Boston Home, Dwell, Improper Bostonian, and many other magazines. For many years, Kent specialized in architectural photography, but he was worked in all related commercial photography fields, and is well-known for his collaborations with design studios in Boston.

Lee T. Davy

Lee has been a technical instructor for over 40 years. His business Event Video Mutimedia is for Educational Consulting since 1990. In 1995 on location in Washington DC for DECUS 55 Lee met and live streamed Linus Torvald of Linux fame. Linus gave Lee a preview version of 64 bit Linux. Lee has used it including Inkscape for use in three Maker spaces including Lowell Makes for laser engraving the leather name tags used for training.

Other projects are wood, metal and plastic including 3D with team built delta REPRAP printer.

In 2025 Lee joined the Lowell Makes – Media Production team and began conducting classes and promoting the vision of an educational service for Lowell Makes.

LMir25.FM is the concept of streaming educational audio to learn skills for maker space members.

Brendan Luchen is a versatile professional with expertise in software development, game design, and creative expression. Based in Greater Boston, he is a full-stack engineer with a passion for building games, apps, and other creative projects. His work emphasizes a blend of technical precision and artistic creativity.

He holds certifications in Cybersecurity Fundamentals and Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals from IBM (both issued in 2024) and Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety & U.S. D.O.T. Hazmat Certification from APNGA. Professionally, he has contributed to projects such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and has experience architecting scalable microservices using Kotlin and designing resilient database systems.

Beyond his technical skills, Brendan describes himself as a “limericksmith” and enjoys activities like baking, Starcraft, travel, and Aikido. He approaches coding as both a craft and a medium for problem-solving, striving to integrate his diverse experiences into his professional growth.

Christy Matte

Christy Matte is a lifelong artist, crafter, and maker with a diverse background that includes youth work, non-profits, consumer technology, public speaking, and freelance writing. She is always up for learning something new, but her favorite pursuits include paper marbling, papermaking, mixed media, and shibori. Christy recently launched Indigo Whimsy, a creative workshop space in Tewksbury, as a way to build a creative community, increase access to less common forms of art, and share her interests with others.

I have been a member of LM for about six years. I’m a retired electrical engineer. I have taught courses at LM on dovetail joinery, building a shaker style end table, etc. After retiring I took a 3 month intensive furniture making course at North Bennett Street School in Boston. I’ve attached some pictures of things I’ve made at LM.

HRPots is the pottery business of Haeden Peaslee. Haeden (pronouns: they/them) is a white, genderqueer, transmasculine, and neurodivergent potter and Registered Art Therapist creating and living in Lowell. Since the Spring of 2024 Haeden has returned to creating ceramics, integrating natural materials more deeply into the metaphors they often work with in their artwork around gender and transition. They make botanic themed pieces using direct plant to clay printing or by making plaster press molds of the plant to create positive molds of the plant in clay.

Marz is a local artist working out of Lowell Makes. She specializes in live painting for shows and music festivals, murals, designing band merch, and creating props for cosplay. Especially with live painting, she says, her art lets her participate in the performances, and be part of the world created onstage. More recently she’s had the opportunity to collaborate, and perform her art with orchestras, plays, art markets, and music festivals. She looks forward to seeing what kind of performances she gets to be part of next!

His latest work includes youtube tutorials for props like Prowler from Across the Spiderverse, Gambit from X-men, Korok backpack from TOTK & many more.

Founder & sole artisan of his prop making business GiveWave Studios Inc. he does it all from pattern making, 3d printing, video tutorials, bespoke commissions, electronics to even selling his own line of original props on GiveWaveStudios.com & on Etsy. With the goal of becoming the IKEA of Cosplay Cas thoroughly enjoys the problem solving aspects of every new project, and strives to always document his process in order to share his findings as well as his love & passion for his craft with others through various social media outlets.

His open studio nights dubbed “#cosplayfridays” are a great opportunity for cosplayers to get into his professional space within the Lowell Makes hacker space & have access to all his tools/know-how as well as having the bonus of building with & around other like minded creative cosplayers of various skill sets.
