It’s been a busy summer at Lowell Makes, and we’re keeping the momentum going into August!
Mark your calendars for the Monthly Members Meeting on September 2, and save the date for the Backyard Business Expo on October 6—an exciting collaboration with the City of Lowell connecting local businesses, artisans, and makers.
In the shops, the Fiber and Mixed Media crew is bringing back monthly Roland printer classes, and we’ve welcomed new shop leaders in Media Studio, Jewelry & Glass Studio, Rapid Prototyping, and Machine Shop. If you’re looking to get more involved, our committees could use an extra set of hands—check out the open spots and see where you can jump in.
We’ve also been out and about: gearing up for this year’s Kinetic Sculpture Race, touring the New England Quilt Museum’s stunning Quilts Japan exhibition, showing off member creations at the Lowell Folk Festival, and savoring great food and company at our Annual BBQ Potluck.
