Wooden Picture Frame Workshop (Members Only)
October 14 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm$65
This member-only, beginner-friendly workshop will teach you how to make two of the most frequently used frames, the floating frame and the wall frame. You will make one of these frames. Participants will learn how to take raw wood, mill it to the frame’s dimension, use a framing miter sled to cut perfect miters on the table saw and join the frame segments together with the Logan v-nail joiner. Great care has been taken to develop a process that will lead to repeatable success in making frames. Safety is our highest priority. You will be using the table saw to mill wood and cut the miters.
A $10 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of the workshop.
Note: Beginners to woodworking can take this workshop as well. If you have not received a basic (Level 1) checkout in the woodshop, please arrive thirty minutes early for instruction on how to use the table saw. This instruction will lead to a Level 1 checkout which will you allow you access to the woodshop for making frames.
Instructor: Jon Goplerud captains the Lowell Makes Woodshop and owns Drip Edge Furniture, a bespoke furniture company. He enjoys sharing his love of woodworking with others.
