Let’s Make a Cutting Board!
March 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Monday, repeating until April 1, 2019
In this workshop, students will employ a variety of woodworking techniques to create a stunning contrasting wood end-grain cutting board that will be a treasured addition to any kitchen. We’ll prepare the raw stock, cut all the pieces needed for the planned design, arrange, glue, clamp, and prepare the cutting board for food-safe finishing.
This course will take place over four sessions, every Monday evening from 7PM – 9PM, from March 11th to April 1st (no missing classes!) and is limited to Lowell Makes members that have already received level 2 checkout status in the wood shop, as there will be extensive use of power tools.
About the Instructor: I’m E.B. Bartlett, a bartender by trade who got into wood working about 15 years ago. After making my headboard, kitchen island and dresser I wanted to work on small things for a while and started making jewelry boxes and cutting boards. I’ve been a member for two years, and am co-captain of the wood shop at Lowell Makes.
This workshop is open to Lowell Makes members only. Contact E.B. via Basecamp to sign up.
