GiveWave Studios Cosplay Series – Prop 3: Traveler’s Quiver
July 29 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
One event on July 29, 2017 at 3:00pm
Have you ever wanted to make your own costume? Or make a replica of an item from a video game or movie? Well this is the class for you. GiveWave Studios, one of the many entrepreneurial businesses based out of Lowell Makes, will be teaching a foam smithing course for those who are into cosplay, prop-making or just want to learn how to make their own armor and costumes. This is a hands on class and members will be introduced to the different ways of using EVA foam to create simple to complex shapes. This is a beginner to intermediate series (prior experience with prop work is not a requirement) based on the new Zelda B.O.T.W. video game.
There are 5 different options to choose from (Click the links to the other classes in this series):
- Link’s Bracer
- Link’s Traveler’s Bow
- Link’s Arrow Quiver
- Link’s Traveler’s Sword & Sheath
- Link’s Traveler’s Shield
Each course is 3 hrs long, with a bit of a buffer built in to accommodate participants in getting their projects as close to completion as possible.
Discounts are available for multiple participants, and for purchasing the entire series as a bundle.
(NOTE: most projects will not have time to be fully painted, but the instructor will go over necessary steps)
GiveWave Studios will provide all the materials: EVA foam sheets, Barges Glue, Heat Guns, Exacto knives, scissors, and blades.
Participants who want to finish painting, build different or more advanced items are encouraged to contact Castro (Owner operator of GiveWave Studios) for private sessions at facebook.com/GiveWaveStudios or on Instagram @GiveWave.Studios.Purchase on Eventbrite
